Summary:

Two Minds is a short adventure/puzzle/platforming local-coop or solo game in which player(s) navigate a world from two contradictory perspectives. Player(s) must complete a series of difficult challenges, requiring putting together divided information and working in tandem.

Gameplay considerations:

  • Whether playing in coop or in solo, the game requires a mouse, a keyboard, AND a controller.
  • It is recommended to play on two monitors (one view per monitor). However, a single split-screen mode is available.
  • For the optimal intended experience, it is recommended to play in coop, on two monitors, making sure each player only sees one monitor (communication is key!).
  • Realtime ray tracing is optionally available for some scenes (see options).

Academic context:

This game is done in the context of a PhD research on the integration of logical contradictions in video game fiction. It is expected that more games emerge from this research. Following the publication of these works, the operations developed through the creation process should lead to the development of one much larger adventure game in the coming years. This game is entirely free.
